zerohedge.com / by Tyler Durden on 01/06/2015 16:30

Just a few short hours after a series of deep, if not very strong, eartquakes shook north-central Oklahoma, moments ago the ground zero of the US energy industry, the city of Dallas, TX, felt the ground shaking. According to the USGS, this was due to a 3.5 magnitude quake, which stuck at a depth of some 3.2 miles below the Texas city.

NYC mandates flu shots for toddlers even after CDC admits they don’t work

by Ethan A. Huff, Natural News:

Unless their parents opt for a medical or religious exemption, young school children in New York City will soon be required to get a flu shot in order to attend preschool or gain access to a child care facility.

As outlined by the New York City Health Department (NYCHD), children aged 6-59 months will be barred from attending classes or being around other children in an institutional setting if they don’t first get jabbed for the flu — this, despite warnings by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that this year’s flu shot doesn’t even work.

According to 7online.com, children living in New York City who fall into this age grouping will have until December 31 to either get a flu shot or file a medical or religious exemption, which parents can learn more about here: http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements.aspx

Newly Renamed High Fructose Corn Syrup Contains Toxic Mercury

And here is where you can find it

by Anthony Gucciardi, Natural Society:

There’s a lot of quite concerning and truly sneaky secrets behind the ingredient known as high-fructose corn syrup. Not only has the infamously-unhealthy additive gone through a ‘renaming’ process by corporations in an attempt to fool you into eating it, but it is also known to hold some tremendously toxic baggage.

Now branded as ‘fructose’ in processed foods thanks to the whole issue of the public absolutely avoiding high-fructose corn syrup like the plague, it’s important to look back at one landmark study that revealed the presence of ultra-toxic mercury within the ingredient. Mercury is, as all of the experts admit, toxic in all of its forms. And as the study by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy found, nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products that listed HFCS as the first or second ingredient were found to contain it.

Thermal Services, a division of Alstom Energy, set to be, if not already, acquired by General Electric (G.E.) after shareholders of Alstom authorized the sale on Dec. 19 for $16.9 billion.

Despite recent controversy incurred by Alstom, G.E. would maintain the upper hand in the deal, snatching up a quick $3.4 billion in Alstom’s “cash” upon closing.

Welcome To Chicago: Strictest gun control in the nation. Highest murder rate in the nation

from Investment Watch:

U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson links strict gun control laws in Chicago with a high murder rate

Citing the number of school shootings since Sandy Hook, a woman asked U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson at one of his town hall meetings why he doesn’t support expanded background checks for gun purchases.

The Wisconsin Republican responded by connecting strict gun control with a high rate of homicide.

“I’ll repeat it: I think we have enough gun laws on the books; we should enforce those,” Johnson told his audience in Appleton on Feb. 18, 2014.

$14 Million an Hour for 13 Years: War on Terror’s Astounding Cost

By Alex Ellefson, AlterNet

In the 13 years since 9/11, the United States’ “war on terror” could be considered a failure. ISIS swept aside the US-backed Iraqi army earlier this year, the Taliban still launches deadly attacks, including an assault on a school last month that killed 145 people, and American interventions only seem to worsen sectarian bloodshed in the region.

The geopolitical disaster has come at a tremendous cost to American taxpayers, according to a recently released report by the Congressional Research Service, a non-partisan government organization. The report estimated that since 9/11, American taxpayers have shelled out close to $1.6 trillion on war spending (that’s $14 million an hour), with almost 95 percent of that money going to projects related to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Royal Pedophile? Prince Andrew named in underage ‘sex slave’ lawsuit over claims of forced sexual relations

[Ed. Note: Long time readers are well aware of the deep rooted Royal connections to known Pedophiles.]

from The Independent:

A woman has alleged that she was repeatedly forced to have sexual relations with Prince Andrew as part of a lawsuit that claims an American investment banker passed her around rich and powerful friends as a “sex slave” while she was still underage. A Buckingham Palace spokesman has said the claims are “categorically untrue”.

The accusation was made in a lawsuit brought by women who say they were exploited by Jeffrey Epstein, an American multi-millionaire who was convicted of soliciting sex with an underage girl in 2008, reports the Guardian.

The woman filed the case anonymously, and is understood to have been 17 at the time, which is considered a minor under Florida law.

Land of the Spied On? Army Surveillance Blimps Launching over MD as 30,000 Cameras Watch D.C. Schools

thedailysheeple.com / Melissa Melton / January 2nd, 2015

America is the “land of the free, home of the brave” in name only.

The majority of us who have long ago realized that ignorance is not bliss have known this for quite a while now. In reality, we’re living in an increasingly sophisticated electronic concentration camp the likes of which would make George Orwell spin in his grave fast enough to cause spontaneous combustion.

Some have suggested America is now “the most surveilled society in human history,” and on what possible basis could anyone disagree?

Surveillance devices are everywhere — from the cell phones in our hands, to the cameras positioned on our street corners, to the satellites floating around our planet in space. In some states, we’re expected to give all ten of our fingerprints for what we are told is the state-regulated “privilege” of driving, and more and more states will be moving toward this model out of what officials will say is security necessity in the 21st century.

Our police are using everything from drones and license plate readers to pre-crime algorithms to assign us a “threat score” based on all of our data (including our purchases and social media posts) before an officer even lays eyes on someone. Utility companies are installing smart meters by the hundreds of millions across the nation, so that eventually every time we use even the smallest bit of energy inside the supposed “privacy” of our own homes, someone somewhere will be analyzing our data in real time.

The list goes on and on. A member of the EU parliament openly accused Obama’s administration of using “American-style Stasi methods,” to no real disagreement. Our government is now running a top secret three-billion-dollar surveillance hub out of the Utah desert that Fox News reported, “could hold as many as 1.25 million 4-terabyte hard drives, built into some 5,000 servers to store the trillions upon trillions of ones and zeroes that make up your digital fingerprint.”

Oh goody! No wonder one of the Bilderberg Group’s big agenda points at last year’s meeting was, “Does privacy exist?” (Of course, they already know the answer…)

“Happy” New Year? U.S. Debt Soars By $100 BILLION On Last Day Of 2014, Hits Record $18.14 Trillion

from ZeroHedge:

It seems like it was only yesterday when we reported that, in yet another sleight of hand for the US Treasury and Social Security Administration, US debt rose by $32 billion on the last day of November sending total US debt above $18 trillion for the first time ever.  As we further noted, it also meant “that total US debt has increased by 70% under Obama, from $10.625 trillion on January 21, 2009 to $18.005 trillion most recently.”

Fast forward to today when we are happy to report that according to the US Treasury, America’s debt-funded spending spree, while supposedly slowing down if looking at the declining monthly budget deficit report, never actually has.

1000+ people killed by cops in 2014, FBI Trying to Falsely Report Actual Numbers

by Heather Callaghan, Activist Post:

Another year has come to an end, which means another set of Unified Crime Reports (UCR) will be published by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The reports are supposed to be the most authoritative set of data on crime in the US.

As has become the habit with most federal documents, the numbers are cooked. They could have honestly just made them up. In 2013, the FBI reported that there were 461 people killed by cops in the US.

461 seems to be a fairly good number. It fits with the estimates of 500 per year that most believe to be accurate. The problem is that the actual number of people killed by cops in 2013 is much higher.

FBI Busted Falsely Blaming North Korea for Sony Hack

I Hate North Korea’s Leaders … But They Didn’t Do It

I hate North Korea’s leaders … They’re not only clowns sporting bad haircuts and weird clothes, but they live in luxury while the population literally starves.

But the FBI’s official assertion that North Korea carried out the attack in retaliation for Sony’s releasing the movie “The Interview” is B.S.

Here’s a sample of top cybersecurity experts who say that North Korea was not behind the hacking attack of Sony:

You’re Either a Cop or Little People’: The American Police State in 2014

lewrockwell.com / By John W. Whitehead, The Rutherford Institute / December 31, 2014

“You’re either a cop or little people.”—Police captain Harry Bryant in Blade Runner

For those of us who have managed to survive 2014 with our lives intact and our freedoms hanging by a thread, it has been a year of crackdowns, clampdowns, shutdowns, showdowns, shootdowns, standdowns, knockdowns, putdowns, breakdowns, lockdowns, takedowns, slowdowns, meltdowns, and never-ending letdowns.

We’ve been held up, stripped down, faked out, photographed, frisked, fracked, hacked, tracked, cracked, intercepted, accessed, spied on, zapped, mapped, searched, shot at, tasered, tortured, tackled, trussed up, tricked, lied to, labeled, libeled, leered at, shoved aside, saddled with debt not of our own making, sold a bill of goods about national security, tuned out by those representing us, tossed aside, and taken to the cleaners.

As I point out in my book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, we’ve had our freedoms turned inside out, our democratic structure flipped upside down, and our house of cards left in a shambles.

We’ve had our children burned by flashbang grenades, our dogs shot, and our old folks hospitalized after “accidental” encounters with marauding SWAT teams. We’ve been told that as citizens we have no rights within 100 miles of our own border, now considered “Constitution-free zones.” We’ve had our faces filed in government databases, our biometrics crosschecked against criminal databanks, and our consumerist tendencies catalogued for future marketing overtures.

We’ve been given the runaround on government wrongdoing, starting with President Obama’s claim that the National Security Agency has never abused its power to spy on Americans’ phone calls and emails. All the while, the NSA has been racing to build a supercomputer that could break through “every kind of encryption used to protect banking, medical, business and government records around the world.” Despite the fact that the NSA’s domestic surveillance program has been shown to be ineffective at preventing acts of terrorism, the agency continues to vacuum up almost 200 million text messages a day.

Metaphor For America: Starving 4 Pound Baby Dies In Car While Parents Eat At Golden Corral

endoftheamericandream.com / By Michael Snyder on December 31st, 2014

What should be done to parents that stuffed themselves full of food at a Golden Corral while their starving four pound baby girl died in their car outside?  This actually just happened down in Florida, and it is a crime that is shocking the entire nation.  Sadly, it is also a perfect metaphor for what is happening to the country as a whole.  We have become an exceedingly selfish and self-centered society that seems to care very little that we are literally destroying the future of America.  We arestealing trillions of dollars from future generations and destroying what was once the greatest economy in the history of the world just to make ourselves a little bit more comfortable in the present.  We stand by and do nothing while our politicians flush the U.S. Constitution down the toilet and construct a Big Brother police state all around us.  We have become a nation of “sheeple” and “zombies” that are so addicted to entertainment that we can’t even see how our society is rotting and decaying in thousands of different ways all around us.  So yes, the parents that starved their precious little baby girl to death are guilty and should be punished.  But what about the millions of Americans that are doing nothing while America slowly circles the toilet on the way to oblivion?

There are very few news stories that affect me deeply on an emotional level.  But when I read about the starvation of this precious little baby girl down in Florida, I was quite upset…

A baby girl named Betsey died, having being starved to death while strapped in her car seat as her parents ate a Florida Golden Corral restaurant.
